World Diabetes Day continues to be led by the International Diabetes Federation, and is supported by medical foundations around the world including Aga Khan Health Services Pakistan, which is the largest health body in the country.
Check around your neighborhood for educational workshops, events and diabetes screenings:

- Aga Khan University has also arranged a program during which senior diabetologist Prof. Najmul Hasan and experienced nutritionist would make presentations to raise public awareness about prevention as well as management of the disease.
In 2009, Karachi famous monuments including Teen Talwar and Do Talwar were illuminated with blue light to celebrate "Go Blue" Campaign.
Today, there is no cure for diabetes. More research is needed to find a cure and to help educate people with diabetes and their families who need to manage the disease. Diabetes affects everyone differently, but we all need to unite behind the common goal of living a healthy life with diabetes and hopefully celebrating a cure in the near future.
